    • HMS Atlanta or Atalanta was lost in the South Atlantic with all hands. She was a Naval Training Ship, no wreckage found. A\ 26 gun frigate she was launched in 1844 as Juno.Renamed Mariner in 1878, then Atalanta two weeks later. She disappeared with her entire crew of 281 named fatalities.
      On route from Bermuda to Falmouth on 31st January 1880, it was presumed she sank in a powerful storm which crossed her route a couple of weeks after she sailed
